Apr 30, 2012 · Today I took my EBP tube and sensor off (see pic) It was just about as plugged as you can possible get, both the tube and the Sensor. In fact it took 120 PSI of pressure just to blow the plug out of the line. Question time. What exactly does that sensor do? I know it measures back pressure, but what does the pcm do with that info?

Some are new Ford/Motorcraft sensors, others generic.

May 16, 2012 · This stuff happens. I have a 2005 as well and my EBP sensor is exactly where you describe it to be. That is exactly where I expected it to be. It's possible that one of the vendors has a pigtail for that sensor that you can splice into the harness. I know I have seen them for the VGT solenoid on the turbo.

Mar 18, 2013 · I mounted the EBP sensor using a straight 1/4" NPT male to female flare fitting, then a 45 degree flare to flare elbow, just to elevate the EPB sunsor so that no moisture would collect there. I extended the sensor wires by soldering on extension, and covered them with corrugated tubing and electrical tape.
