Housed in the Historic Duluth Union Depot, the Lake Superior Railroad Museum houses the finest collection of Railroad Equipment in the country, with interactive exhibits as well as history from the region, the Lake Superior Railroad Museum is a must-visit attraction in Duluth.

The Lake Superior Railroad Museum (LSRM) is one of the largest and most respected railroad museums in the country. Your Membership supports the museum’s efforts to restore, preserve and interpret and display its significant collection of historic railroad artifacts.

Originally created during the COVID19 shutdown, over 125 videos are available on our YouTube channel featuring each and every main item in the collection of the museum, as well as short, fun stories about railroads and how they relate to the America we know today.

Join us for train stories, crafts and FUN! Story time begins at 10:15am in the Zelda Theater followed by a craft. Free for members of the Lake Superior Railroad Museum and kids 2 and under. Half price admission, adults $7 and kids $3.

From the tiny Northern Pacific, Minnetonka #1, to the huge Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range #227, Mallet, the museum collection covers the history of steam railroading from the 1860s to its zenith in the 1940s.
