I thought about testing the blitter settings with the other CV1000 Shmups that are not running so good as Mushihime Sama. I played Mushihime to the Boss of Level 2 and it performed just like DoDonPachi, Espgaluda, Guwange and the rest of the older Cave-Shmups.

Sep 28, 2020 · The level design of DoDonPachi is designed with the multiplayer of the scoring system in mind. You need to wait and kill slowly as possible, because then the multiplayer will stay and go higher. If you don't kill enemies for a certain period of time, then it will drop down.

Dodonpachi Saidaioujou plays with its original filename (ddpsdoj) instead of borrowing dfkbl, which is a pleasant surprise. Both it and Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu (ddpdfk) seems to perform best with CPU clock set to 25% and blitter delay off, but it practically plays in slow motion.

May 7, 2017 · According to multiple sources this is the most difficult DoDonPachi game of the series. Pretty satisfied with results. All original artwork from arcade flyer and Artbook. This time luckily I could find very high res scans to work on. This overlay is for FBA @ 1080p; lr-mame2003 doesn't support this rom. Have Fun !!

Jan 26, 2022 · Following up on my post above, the real rom of Dodonpachi SaiDaiOuJou is finally released and out in the wild, titled "ddpsdoj.zip." Like I documented before, it runs okay on Pi 4 2GB with lr-mame2016. To play it on lr-mame2016, it must be renamed to "dfkbl.zip."
