It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write to you as the Superintendent of North Palos School District 117. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve in this role, and I look forward to serving our community with dedication and passion.

The Board of Education is the governing board of North Palos School District 117. The seven members of the Board of Education are elected to four-year terms in the April general election in odd-numbered years. The Board usually meets monthly to discuss topics that guide the district.

Apr 26, 2022 · Feucht will replace Superintendent Dr. James McKay, who will be retiring on June 30. Superintendent McKay served District 117 for a period of 22 years, 12 of which in the capacity of Superintendent. Dr. Feucht is currently the Superintendent of Lake Park High School District 108 in Roselle, Illinois.

The North Palos School District 117 came into existence around 1858. During this time, districts in and around Chicago were numbered within the townships rather than within the county. This explains why all records predating 1900 refer to this district as Palos School District No. 4.
