Oct 22, 2020 · For both MIDI and audio inputs on my iMac, the device "Digital Saxophone" appears. When used for an audio input, there are none of the YDS-150's effects, which is a good thing. WHen you use headphones, the speaker is off, which is what you want.

Jun 25, 2021 · I think it doesn't mention MIDI at all? My YDS-150 is connected via USB to my computer all the time. It's powered by the USB, and the USB send both MIDI and audio to the computer audio input, as I have shown in screenshots above. I don't think there's going to be anything happening unless 'Digital Saxophone' is visible as an input.

Oct 8, 2020 · I think they would have been better off to give it a new name, as Roland did with the Aerophone. It's a synthesizer with a physical model as a saxophone. It doesn't sound like one, and every demonstration, including this one, demonstrates this fact very well. I think it has many uses, but it shouldn't have been called "Digital Saxophone".

Jun 25, 2021 · The best sound you'll get recording the internal sounds of the YDS-150 is via the 'Digital Saxophone' USB interface. Why? Because there will never be a difference in level, there's nothing to set. The second best is via the audio 1/8 jack, which, like any analogue output may be subject to hum or interference.
