The Maxxis Minion DHF tire is the single tread design that almost all mountain bike tires are judged against. There is a reason the DHF tread design has remained for the most part unchanged for the last 15 years and still sits as the benchmark for new tread designs.

Depending on who you ask, DHF either stands for Downhill Front or Freeride, and DHR for Downhill Rear or Race.
