Feb 5, 2018 · The Delta RP1991 cartridge has a stem unit that is shaped to fit the 1600 series and 1300/1400/13/14 series shower handles. A common 13/14 series handle kit to use is H74 with the A74 accent. Please contact us back with any further questions.

The Delta Stem Unit RP1991 is the correct replacement part for a leaking shower in the 1600 series. You may also need the Delta Seat and Springs RP4993. It's recommended to replace both the stem unit and the seats and springs to ensure a complete and lasting repair.

Unfortunately, the Delta Faucet RP1991 1600 series stem unit is not pressure balanced. We no longer make new trim kits for the Delta 1600 Series Valve Bodies. We do recommend changing the valve body to our Delta MultiChoice Universal R10000 Rough Valve Body to upgrade the trim and cartridge assembly.
