This is why armor like the Black Witch Robe is really good - it has the best resistances in its class, as well as a relatively low weight. Heavy armor like Havels, which has decent resistances, doesn't come close to black witch gear. Because of how resistance works, the more you get, the better it is.

The best armor/weight ratio is Alva's armour set. It is pretty easy to acquire, and is visually one of the nicest sets in the game. A little harder to get, but still a very nice set, is Raime's set from the Old Iron King DLC. That's a bit heavier, but has a very nice poise/weight ratio.

Totally worth it if it uses normal Titanite, no doubt about that. Each +1 increases the stats by 10%, and as you eventually unlock unlimited quantities of Titanite Shards, Large Titanite Shards and Titanite Chunks, using them to upgrade armour to +3, +6 and +9 makes quite a lot of sense, if one can afford the souls, materials for 0->3 cost 6k souls, to 3->6 is 15k, 6->9 is 36k.

Alva/Elite/Knight sets giving you good protecton for weight, but Knight's armor can be easely obtained in the beginning of the game. Nov 18, 2018 · Best armor set up in game is gyrm/cow witch. This has been a thing for years now. Both can have up to 96 poise, 1000~ physical defense, and 20-50% elemental defense depending on stats and rings. Min-maxing defence is less important than poise, so just slap on an Old Knight armor and you're good.

Jul 11, 2016 · The alonne captian armor is my go to 'best' armor. Not too heavy in comparison to the other good armors but still super strong, you can even Upgrade it to +10 with reg titanite. You get it from alonne captians in the Iron keep. It depends on what you want out of the armor.
