
Culver City, California - Wikipedia
The city was named after its founder, Harry Culver, who first attempted to establish it in 1913. In the 1920s, Culver City became a center for film and later television production. It was best known as the home of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios from 1924 to 1986. From 1932 to 1986, it was the headquarters for the Hughes Aircraft Company.
