  1. 182 Air Vent Replacement - Backcountry Pilot

Nov 16, 2008 · They aren't nearly as pretty as some others, but they seal well and work just fine, much better than the Cessna stock versions. I don't see any indications of them aging. I have the complete kit, with the exhaust vents in the bulkhead below the back window and a vent replacing an inspection plate in the empennage.

  2. Cessna vent covers--they actually work! - Backcountry Pilot

Feb 6, 2017 · Amazing what curtailing incoming air will do! Oh, and I thought of painters tape, too, but the blue contrasts with the red of my airplane. It would be definitely a lot less expensive, though--for what I spent, we could probably painters tape the …

  3. Vented side window options for Cessna 182E? - Backcountry Pilot

Oct 19, 2018 · On my 172 I installed the precise airflow vents from sporty's and the enhanced airflow system from aircraft spruce in the baggage compartment and I painted the rear window white. It made a HUGE difference.

  4. Cessna 180K Modifications (N2732K) - Backcountry Pilot

Nov 9, 2018 · The Precise Flow air vents Sporty's sells for your wing root cabin air vents are a VERY worthwhile, easy mod. Best $450 I have ever spent on a Cessna! Check them out.

  5. Cessna pax vent replacements - Backcountry Pilot

Jun 13, 2024 · I had to replace the vent tube due to tears and discovered that Cessna had 1 1/4” tube from the wing necked down to 1” tube to the vent which of course restricts the airflow. The new vents have a 1 1/2” inlet so my son 3d printed 1.25”-1.5” funnels to run 1.5” tube to the vents.

  6. Cessna 180 cowling gill vents - Backcountry Pilot

Sep 22, 2016 · Re: Cessna 180 cowling gill vents I learned to fly in a 55 180 with a J engine from the age of 12, My Dad always taught me to Climb, Cruise, and decend by cylinder head temp instead of air speed. All his engines made it past TBO while flying skydivers.

  7. Finally Took The plunge Cessna 185 - Backcountry Pilot

Jun 1, 2019 · Having owned multiple Skywagons over the years I HIGHLY suggest adding the Precise Flow air vents Sportys sell's, they work great, well worth the $450 and also add the BAS tail pull handle. Rosen sun visors are a nice addition too. Keep the small tires on her for now unless you actually "need" the bigger tires.

  8. Finally Took The plunge Cessna 185 - Backcountry Pilot

Jun 4, 2019 · I also have those vents, they work great. Also, this inexpensive kit helps to move air through the cabin. Two inspection cover sized vents go in the rear baggage wall, one screened vent replaces the aft most inspection cover on the belly. I've found that it helps the airflow, and also helps move the heat rearward in winter. It makes a lot of sense.

  9. Drafty vents - but from around the vents? - Backcountry Pilot

Jan 19, 2025 · On my 205, the wings inner vent inlet provides air to the rear seat vents via scat tubes, and the outer wing vent inlet provides air to the front seats via an aluminum tube. I know on mine the aluminum tube and the scat tubes are secured with a long cotter pin which is a bear to re-install if any of it is removed for maintenance access or to ...

  10. Cessna Fuel Vent Check Valve Squawk - Backcountry Pilot

Mar 25, 2015 · The tanks will always try to equalize with the outside air pressure through those vents, pushing or pulling air as necessary. I know at least on 182's the FAA recommends vented caps to relieve pressure as well, as a secondary fallback in case the primary system fails.
