Best colors to wear with British tan | Men's Clothing Forums
Jul 19, 2010 · Now that I know that you're talking about dress shirt colors . . .. . . that makes a difference. I'll stand by my statement that most stronger colors, other than yellow, will work well with the British tan khakis (which are indeed a stronger and yellower tan than the photo you used to illustrate - the fact that you used a woman rather than a man excited the wags in the …
"Khaki" vs. "British Tan" - Men's Clothing Forums
Apr 29, 2014 · Once I'm satisfied that the season is transitioning enough again leaning to summer and hotter weather, then the British Tan goes away and the stone colored khaki, come out. And then again as the daylight and colors begin to fade into the fall the British Tan comes back.

Sep 28, 2010 · The british tan leather is going to be a bit thicker the CXL more supple The tan will take a polish better but the CXL has that default deeper color due to the oils. Now, both will get a bit darker with age. What you have to ask yoruself is how YOU look with british tan shoes/belt. Don't focus on the boots themselves.
Olive vs. British khaki...versatility? | Men's Clothing Forums
May 17, 2007 · I don't really see the green hue in British khaki; it's more like dark sand (from which the name khaki derives, IIRC). To me, next to tan, British khaki is an extremely versatile color. It goes well with navy blazers, gray jackets, light blue OCBD shirts, etc. I find olive to be an extremely unversatile color.
'British Tan' shoes' place in the wardrobe - Styleforum
Mar 17, 2014 · Hello all. I have a pair of British Tan (which I guess is like a lighter brown) split toe derbys, and a pair of wingtips in the same color. I recently found a nice deal on some monks in the same color, but I am wondering if I am going overboard with this …

I've posted this image before, but the below shows almost new British Tan (on the Smokejumpers) next to the same leather that is about a year old (on the Semi-dress).
British Tan Shoes - Men's Clothing Forums
Jan 23, 2008 · You can buy tan shoes from most good British makers - Crockett & Jones, Alfred Sargent, Grenson, Loake etc. Consider that list to be a price guide - from £250 for C&J to around £130 to £160 at the cheaper end. I would only wear tan shoes with light tweed suit or chinos but not with a dark business suit.
Tan Suit Etiquette - Men's Clothing Forums
Mar 9, 2009 · The tan suit is kind of a reminder of the time when "suits" were men's "casual about town" wear. It's a great looking, spring/summery kind of suit (looks better on a thinner frame, though). In "dressy" countries, where I'll wear suits just kicking around the city, I'll wear a tan suit. Japan, for example.
