Jun 17, 2010 · a bill of sale just shows you bought a bike it doesn't prove the bike isn't stolen. call the DMV they will tell you whether the bike has ever been registered or the ownership is lost. I hope it isn't not lost, just never registered, if it's lost you need a freind at the DMV.

Worse yet I can't find where I read that is illegal to buy or sell and ORV without a title. I guess it would be true if it were a retail purchase after April 1 ...

Sep 15, 2023 · I own around 15 vehicles plus trailers, boats, motorcycles, etc. Like I said, you just go to the DMV, present the bill of sale and its always smart to have something from a kbb type of website stating the value, they run it through the LEIN system, and you can pay an extra $10 to have your new title printed up right there on the spot.

If you have lost the registration, then a complete bill of sale with the year, make, vehicle identification number, registration number (if available), and the names and addresses of the buyer and seller may be used to transfer ownership.

Jun 7, 2004 · What is required to get a trailer registered in Michigan? I have no title, but can get a bill of sale from the seller. I don't know the manufacturer of the trailer, and the only numbers I can find are located on the tongue (not easily legible). These numbers and letters seem to correspond to load rating. The trailer is for a 14' boat. Thanks
