May 6, 2022 · The Cayman is a super badass car and a good pick for your budget. I would also look at the BMW true M cars like the M3 or M4. There's also the better looking and bigger engine M5 and M8 but those would fall outside the budget. Something else surprisingly fun are electric cars, as their instant torque makes for crazy speed.

Nov 25, 2021 · I’m a bit surprised no one has suggested the CT-5 Blackwing. Fully loaded it’s over your $100k budget but they start at only $88k so you can certainly get one optioned under budget. Fast, 4 doors, 4yr/50k bumper to bumper warranty, 6yr/70k powertrain. Could possibly find a CPO out there to save a few bucks and then you get a 6yr/100k warranty.

IMO best car you can get for $100k(or close to it) is a Mercedes Benz S580 or similar competition. Best as in comfort, technology/engineering. $100k vehicles are jam packed with tech and those are all expensive failure points regardless of what make it is.

Like any car that costs nearly 100K is going to have nice interior materials and tech and such, but to me luxury is mainly about a comfortable ride and being quiet, and those things are kind of at odds with the fastest lap times. From the perspective of balancing comfort and performance the best answer might be the Lexus LC or RC F.

997 or 991 turbo is going to be the safest option both with values and maintenance. A gen 1.5 r8 v10 is another great option. These are the 2014-15 cars because they finally have a dual clutch transmission. Or with 100k you might be able to find a gated car.
