Bessa R and Leica lenses: collapsing, compatibility, and more
Nov 23, 2002 · The collapsing of lenses on a Bessa R is hampered by the grey "preshutter"; when I try to mount my elmar clone; the Russian Industar-22 collapsable lens; 50mm F3.5 . This lens is a very fine performer; but will not work on my Bessa R. It works well with my Zorki's' Fed's; and leica M3 with an adapter.
Using a flash with Bessa R - Leica and Rangefinders - Photo.net
Jul 13, 2007 · To date I haven't done much indoor photography with the Bessa as flash metering confuses me. What I shoot indoors tends to be on my olympus OM4 in aperture priority or the old digital canon s30. Now I would really like to use the flash with the Bessa R. My question is, how can I use the camera me...
Bessa R2 Review - Leica and Rangefinders - Photo.net
Jul 27, 2003 · The R/R2 aren't ripoffs really - a coupled rangefinder is more expensive to make than a prism-mirror assembly (with an aperture lever, if you must.) Gandy says there's another "unique", non-AE Bessa rangefinder coming later in the year. Will it have 1/250 flash sync? Variable magnification finder like the old Canons? Contax T-sized the way Jay ...

Bessa R Lenses for the poor - Leica and Rangefinders - Photo.net
Feb 24, 2004 · Jim, the Bessa R you bought comes with a 35, 50, 75 and 90 framelines. What that means is that inside the camera there are frames for 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 90mm lenses. The 28mm lens is kinda hard to framed with the built in camera framelines, you kinda have to imagine in order to frame the picture you want.
bessa r meter problem. - Leica and Rangefinders - Photo.net
Dec 5, 2005 · This is normal behavior for the Bessa-R meter. I have two of them and they both do the same thing. Basically, it's indicating that you're out of the meter's EV range. The shutter speed dial and film-speed settings control a variable resistor. As you turn the shutter speed dial, you're turning the pickup on that resistor, as you turn the film …
Which 35mm Rangefinder? Contax G1 or Bessa R - Photo.net
Jan 27, 2004 · Camera Operation: Bessa R is a good old-fashioned mechanical camera, no battery drain for those long exposure night shots I like. Contax G1 reminds me of my EOS-5! So I assume that the camera sucks the batteries dry for those long exposure night shots I like. Bessa R is mechanical; the Contax G1 is electronic
Bessa R2 Vs. Bessa R - opinions needed - Photo.net
Mar 24, 2003 · I recently bought a Bessa R and am very happy with it. I also considered the R2 but chose the R for two reasons. Reading all of the positive comments about the Voigtlander lenses, their performance and wide selection of focal lenghts and speeds make me feel they will fit my needs. Also, the R and R2 share the same finder, meter, and shutter, so mechanically they are the same camera and will ...
Bessa R3A/R2A reliability - Leica and Rangefinders - Photo.net
Apr 9, 2006 · The Bessa R I have from 2000 feels decent, not really too shabby. It is an early model, mine works and meters with a 28mm F6 Orion-15 LTM lens. After using this combo for a year it came out ont he web that this combo wont work, maybe they changed the lens flange, meter area abit during the production run.
