Then take a propane torch and melt new lead into the stripped holes. Make sure you melt the old lead and new lead together. Make sure you don't overheat and melt plastic.

I was taught the rule of thumb: 1 CCA per cubic nch, add 50 for an A/C car. High compression is your biggest factor. The length of positive cable is also a factor.

Dec 12, 2010 · One way to eliminate possibilities is to start pulling fuses (one at a time) then reattach positive cable after each fuse till the arcing goes away. There is your problem. It will definitely eliminate any thing running through a fuse. Remember everything doesn't always go through a fuse. Could be a bad solenoid.
