Jul 26, 2021 · Zorc: good enemy to Atem, and probably the best final boss in Yu-Gi-Oh in brokeness. Thief Bakura: understandable motives, strong background story, but a bit underused; design, especially the redraw from Takahashi, is awesome. Oct 3, 2023 · Dark Bakura suffers from the story getting twisted into being about CARDS, because he's a tabletop RPG guy, not a CCG guy. He couldn't get the full foreshadowing development he really needed as the final big bad, because the whole plot itself got shuffled and warped to fit in more card games.

It could easily be its own Structure Deck. Well done. Meanwhile, I'll be waiting until they release the rest of his cards from Seasons 2-5.

Jul 3, 2020 · Bakura was a central character in the manga that the anime writers just didn't understand at all-- but even in the manga, Ryou DEFINITELY should have played a larger role in the final defeat of his evil alter ego more akin to base Marik being redeemed. And it's such a shame too because of the rich potential for inner drama this character has.
