Feb 3, 2024 · Coming from Bafang hub drives- There is an obvious difference power wise between the hubs and middrives. The amount of power that the UART m620 puts out is awesome and another reason I got it. Out of the box the one thing I noticed though is the throttle power was too much from a start. Luckily I knew this going into the bike thanks to research.

I was wondering what the daunting issues were with the Tongsheng as I was considering one over the BBS02...would you advise going with a bafang bbs02 instead because of them? Also, what reliable gear drive would you recommend for city cycling? I weigh 95kg/209lbs.

Jun 22, 2020 · Recently, my Bafang BBS02 started making a crackling noise when pedaling with moderate force, even when the motor is off. The crackle always happens at the same spot (right pedal forward, pushing down). It doesn't crackle when using only the throttle, which leads me to believe that something is off with the pedal freewheel.

Sep 20, 2020 · So in PAS 1 for instance, there will be about 90w available, and that same 90w will be available no matter the speed (up to wherever the limit is set). In practice it's, very similar to torque sensing. It's my hope that I can get the Bafang programming to perform as nicely as what I've been using. We'll see... I have an open mind on the topic! -Al
BBS02 Makes clicky/knocking noise under load - Electric Bike Forums
Apr 8, 2020 · So my bafang BBS02 makes clicky/knocking noise under load with or without the motor on. Please see the video below. It only happens when it's ramping up. But after at a certain speed (around 8mph+), the clicking is gone. What I've tried so far: Throttling while parked, with no load. Everything is fine, no clicky/knocking noise.
