Plucky is a hyperactive and egocentric young duck. He's lovable due to his innate wackiness and his tragic and comic flaws. Plucky is driven by blind ambition. He has big dreams of wealth, fame and power, but he's so desperate to get them that he always falls victim to his own wild schemes.

Plucky is quite jealous of Buster and Babs's popularity, similar to Daffy's insane jealousy of Bugs's popularity, and very often tries to undermine it in various sneaky, underhanded ways. That said, Plucky is many times shown to be caring and genuinely heroic.

Baby Plucky is a toodler version of Plucky Duck. Often he is self indulgent and always wants his personal gain. When problems arise, he believes it is himself who is treated unfairly, not noticing the inconvience inflicted on the others.

Plucky Duck begins by saying, "I remember...my potty years", and shortly afterwards flashes back to Plucky as a baby duckling. Since he is almost three years old, his parents decide it is time to potty train him.
