Aug 10, 2022 · The only cars I like the look of are the Mercedes Benz SLK and the BMW Z4 hardtop. Looking to pay £10-12k and expecting mileage to be in the 40-50k miles based on cars I've seen listed. Anyone have any of the pros and cons for each of the cars?

Mar 4, 2022 · Tbh if you ask people this all you’re going to get is a load of badge prejudice and “You can’t drive a Mercedes SLK if you’re a bloke” crap. They’re all good cars but different in several key respects. Here’s a head-to-head from Auto Express in 2011 which should tell you more. The TT wins btw.

Aug 15, 2023 · I drove my parents volvo s40 2.0d for a year and now i can get my first car. I opted for an r171 but they said they are old and they (and i agree) come woth very high mileage, plus because of the kompressor they have higher consumption. Now the slk r172 has the turbo, lower consumption, same power but more new components and features.

The Z4 is infinitely better than the SLK 250, I've had a lot of experience with both when I worked for BMW, the biggest thing that stuck in my mind was that really Mercedes made the car for looks and comfort, not drivablility, it just seemed to me that the car didn't live up to what it could have been, or what I though it should be.

Jun 10, 2023 · And all are about the same price (slk being the most expensive by 1k usd). About 20k usd - which is a good price where I’m at. SLK having the most luxurious additional features. MIATA having least features, but being the cheapest. The difference is so small money wise that I can go either way. So I have quite a problem here!
