Nov 30, 2015 · I usually get at least 5 good axe sheaths out of a bag. I would make one for hatchet size, one for boys axe size and a full size single and double bit as well. Make them adjustable to fit a range of axes. This way you can have your leather masks for any given axe or axes you bring out.

Using this combo, cut it out... Created another template of the welt and traced out. Cut it out the same way as the sheath and fit things together to see how it fit...

Jan 21, 2021 · This should work to hold a hatchet, hawk, or axe (depending upon handle size I guess). Its called a Kabar sheath Molle adapter and is a handy piece of gear to adapt non-Molle things to Molle. It has two Molle straps on the back and a strong Velcro flap on the front.

I prefer to carry my axe in a similar fashion, however I drop the axe thru the loop and then turn the handle toward the sky and secure the handle towards the top of the pack. I prefer to keep my pack weighted toward the bottom and not the top ( less swinging weight , lower center of gravity sort of thing ).
