Mar 14, 2017 · Currently I am using a HDMI to DVI adapter for the video side and the optical audio output on the ATV to my Yahaha for audio.. Trying to figure what exactly the Mi Box has for audio out. The Xiaomi web site says the the Mi Box has 'AV: SPDIF Out / 3.5mm audio output'. I couldnt find much more detail anywhere on the audio so I contacted Xiaomi.

Jul 20, 2023 · I think one of the issues may be that many TVs now won't send DTS audio over EARC to the AVR. No issues with seeing the Denon AVR's onscreen menu system (or volume overlay, info overlay, etc) no matter which video source you are using. If using video into TV and then EARC for audio, the AVR's menu system and overlays don't always show up.
