Guitar amp headphone output and audio interface
WEBAug 22, 2018 · A "guitar cable" is "mono" TS. Plug it into a stereo TRS headphone output shorts the right side R connection to the sleeve. Any decent headphone circuit should be ok with that, and you'll have the left side audio on the T loud and clear. Plug the other end into a TRS balanced input and that R is also shorted to the S.

WEBFeb 14, 2007 · A line out carries a signal which is about 1 volt RMS, whereas a speaker out carries a much hotter signal, the strength of which depends on how loud the amp is turned and its output capability, but it can easily be 100 volts or more. If you plug a speaker into a line out, it won't hurt anything but you will hear little if anything from the speaker.

WEBJun 4, 2021 · It's the best way to connect headphones and good studio monitors. It may be that the USB connection from the amp is really a pretty good way to record it. Using a mic on the speaker is, of course, the standard way, but it means buying a mic (and a stand and cable), learning to use it, possibly playing loud.

So for $150 you get a lot more imo. Line 6 podfarm stuff is pretty killer for real-time but Zen Go has much much more...and if you do SDIF you have 2qty more Inputs.

Also, as the repeats get quieter, the distortion and tone change. Putting delay after the preamp stage of the Amp delays the distorted signal and most of the compression has already happened.
Connecting a dbx preamp/processor to an audio interface
WEBMar 4, 2018 · I do voiceover work as well as podcast and radio production and my current set up is as follows: condenser mic > dbx 286S preamp/processor > mixer > PC running latest version of Windows 10. However, for the work I now do, I consider the mixer is a bit too much overkill so I want to replace it in the signal chain with an audio interface.
