Brand new PC gamer wondering if Arma 3 is worth it in 2023
Apr 27, 2023 · Arma 3 is a milsim. Arma was originally used by US troops as a training programme, but then became a game. There is no matchmaking or queus. You simply jump on to server and play, unless the server is full then you won't be able to join at all. There's lots of different game modes.

The missions and terrains etc are basic by modern standards but still worth playing imo. Yes absolutely, as a newbie in arma 3 I would def recommend playing it, although the tasks and missions can get a little bit tricky in the end. Mar 29, 2022 · Before contact: Select all > 3 (ROE menu) > 5. Combat Mode > Aware. When you want them to stop fucking moving: Select all > 1 (move menu) > 2. STOP. When in doubt, always regroup. Also set your teams if using more than ~4 AI, like 2 on red team, 2 on green team, etc. Makes selecting and moving them around much easier.

Jun 18, 2015 · Absolutely. Arma has infinite singleplayer possibilities, thanks to the editor and mission makers, as well as Arma's strong modding community. What you said would definitely be possible in Arma 3. You could even place yourself as commander, and run the map like a strategy game, although with the help of drones to see enemy positions perhaps.
