May 3, 2023 · I thought I would post impressions and a comparison of the Ariat Benchmade James. The first two compare it to a Lucchese R Tow in goat and the next 2 are the R Watson in Bay Apache.

Feb 1, 2023 · I love that these are bison and a classic shape in an easy to wear rich shade of brown. Has anyone tried them on or does anyone own them? I wanted to try them at the Ariat store in Fort Worth but they were all reserved for some event (not sure what that meant). Made in Leon of course to compete with every other sub $500 boot.

I'm split between these two shoes. Here's a quick summary of the two shoes. In general, I *think* that the Tecovas are a more premium brand, but the "bench made" variety with Ariat seem to be completely on par with that supposed premium-ness.

Dec 13, 2022 · I'm not a boot expert by any means, but Ariat has done a superb job on the new Benchmade line. They don't belong amongst the higher tier companies, but this line is definitely close to tecovas.
