When your dressing comes into contact with wound fluid, it forms a soft gel to absorb fluid, protect the wound from bacteria, and helps to create a healing environment.

AQUACEL ® Ag Advantage dressings are antimicrobial primary dressings for use in acute and hard-to-heal wounds that are infected or at risk of infection with varying exudate levels.

What is AQUACEL® Ag+ dressing? AQUACEL® Ag+ is a silver wound contact layer dressing (in direct contact with the wound) which will kill harmful bacteria that may be present in your wound. The dressing will form a soft gel, this is normal, and will help to absorb wound leakage as well as keep your wound clean and support the healing process.

AQUACEL® Ag+ Extra™ dressing is comprised of 2 layers of Hydrofiber™ Technology stitch bonded together making it 9x stronger and 50% more absorbent than standard AQUACEL® Ag dressing. OPTIONS: AQUACEL® Ag+ dressings are available as AQUACEL® Ag+ Extra™ and AQUACEL® Ag+ Ribbon dressings.
