In the 2019 live-action adaptation of Aladdin, the Genie is portrayed by Will Smith, with his appearance alternating between his classic blue-skin and a human form as a disguise to blend in. In the first and third film, Genie is a darker shade of blue but in the second film and TV-series, he is light blue. Genie sometimes changes color depending on his mood. For example, in the episode "Sneeze The Day" he turns green when he is feeling sick. Despite being freed, Genie continues to wear the cuffs that bound him to the lamp.
