Jun 22, 2020 · An overview of Akantor weapons. Sonic bombing Akantor while he's charging his beam and not in rage mode (glowing arms) stuns him for a decent amount of time. Also bring Adamant Seeds since that def drop is basically gonna get you one shotted. Also, stupid idea for an armor skill. Basically locks your wep's sharpness at its second highest level.
My take on who will win between Akantor and Nergigante, this
Jan 13, 2022 · Of course that is a terrible idea against Akantor, it may be slow, but its bite is quick and could possibly kill Nergigante on the spot, Deviljho jaws are fine, but Akantor jaws are in a league of their own. Akantor is overall a much more difficult match up for Nergigante, compared to Shara Ishvalda who is helpless against a strong melee fighter.

Apr 27, 2020 · Though in legends they are both considered gods, Akantor is the Black God, Ukanlos is the White God. Once both lived close to Pokke, but the Pokke Chief's ancestor used the giant-ass Fatalis blade to drive Akantor off. The one interesting / funny thing about ukanlos is that it eats deviljho 😁.

May 31, 2019 · Akantor has a lot of large, lingering hit-boxes that make many of his attacks hard, or impossible, to evade through. As such, the best strategy is to just not get hit, which is more difficult the closer you get. From there, his face is the best hit-zone, and using either Normal 3 or Pierce shot will be most effective.

Am I the only one here who hates fighting Akantor over Ukanlos?
Jun 24, 2015 · Meanwhile, Akantor has Defense-halving saliva, the Dragon Roar of Doom, the ability to turn mid-charge, and those goddamned geysers when it burrows, AND a bite attack that pins you. And THEN there's that motherfucking bite-to-tail combo that more likely than not will two-shot you regardless of defense due to said saliva.

Jul 22, 2019 · For instance, Akantor likely came about first as the director wanting to make an elder dragon-level boss while reusing Tigrex's skeleton. They could've just slapped together a design and called it a day, but they made it interesting by actually connecting the similar skeleton to the worldbuilding.

Mar 4, 2015 · The hunting horn is apparently of some use. But I'd say that the majority of his weaponry is rather bad. You can get away with using the Akantor DS since you don't have to be overly concerned with being deflected anyway. You just want to control dulling rate some how, but that's generally the case with most DS.
