I used Arial fonts in the Word document, and the numbered headings all have the following: Font: Arial, Font Style: Bold, Size: 11 pt. It converts perfectly if I print to PDF, but when I use PDF Maker (which I absolutely need to do because I need the hyperlinks and bookmarks), the numbering changes to Times New Roman or some other serif font.

Feb 5, 2017 · The only way for me to 'choose' Arial is to click Helvetica (which for some reason doesn't work in PDF) so it appears as Arial. Mind you if I change to Prepare Form, and back to Edit, I have to change the font all over again every time, otherwise it changes to Arial Narrow.

I am having trouble with win 7 64-bit with the arial.ttf font file. It is located in the c:\windows\fonts directory but under control panel it doesn't show up as a font. The other arial fonts are fine (bold, narrow, etc.)

Arial font had been working perfectly for years and then recently displayed as gibberish when trying to edit. I opened a pdf, clicked on 'Help' and then clicked 'Repair Acrobat Installation'. This made a few automatic changes, then re-booted automatically. Once I logged in to Windows again and opened the pdf, the Arial font was available again.
