Acid is a common trigger and now you know to avoid it until your esophagus has healed. The lump in your throat is globus, and a sign that your esophagus wasn't as healed as you had hoped. The mucous system goes into overdrive trying to keep your esophagus coated with thick mucous to protect it and help it heal.

Jul 30, 2022 · Yes I get throat tightness with my GERD. Mine comes from chronic acid reflux that developed into LPR, meaning the acid irritates my throat and larynx. It contributed to vocal cord dysfunction, which leads to that tight feeling, as well as shortness of breath. I recommend talking to your GI about this and possibly seeing an ENT if it persists.

Nov 6, 2023 · Sometimes I feel like I am struggling to breath. Very little to no heartburn. But I guess I still suffer from GERD/acid reflux? I am taking Tylenol/Benadryl daily to deal with the pain and swelling. I am eating a strict barebones diet with nothing acidic. Mostly grilled chicken, fish, veggies, non-acid fruit, etc. I have lost 12 pounds in 7 weeks.

Feb 15, 2022 · The throat tightness is especially noticeable when I'm anxious. The lump in the throat feeling is all but gone but I still taste acid in my mouth and I tend to produce more saliva than usual. I also tend to hard swallow often because I also have post-nasal drip so that probably contributes to the throat tightness.

Apr 26, 2020 · It's short for Laryngopharyngeal reflux, it's also sometimes called silent reflux. Pretty much it involves acid reflux that mainly comes up into the throat and causes all sorts of pain & discomfort, as well difficulty speaking in a lot of cases. Really difficult to diagnose and cure.

Mar 5, 2020 · Every time you are irresponsible with your reflux, you make it worse. The more you damage your body, the worse the reflux gets and the worse you suffer. If your body keeps on getting BURNT BY ACID, you make it harder and harder for your body to recover and you start to develop issues you wish you had just prevented, like myself.

A really really sore throat. Swelling mouth, gums and lips. A globus sensation (lump in throat) all the time, as well as breathlessness Nausea is rampant.

Jul 21, 2020 · I stopped my pantoprazole cold turkey 2 days ago and I think it’s because of Collagen and L-glutamine that I haven’t had reflux come back. My biggest problem atm is that I get some reflux while I’m asleep and as the day progresses, I feel weird in my stomach depending on the level of stress. I hope it will only get better from here.
