Who makes the best A2 pistol grip? - AR15.COM
Dec 22, 2016 · Even the KAC A2 feels cheap compared to it (to their defense, they probably assume most will change out the grip). I like the A2 as well and replaced the stock one on my KAC lower with a Colt. The only other A2 I have seen that is thick like the Colt is the FN one on my FDE SCARs.
Why did the military go from the A1 pistol grip to the A2
Nov 2, 2013 · And on the A2 grip, I actually built the first two (using Bondo) in my shop at Picatinny, and then Colt used them to prototype the production item. So now you know who to blame. The only part of the A2 program I regret was the longer buttstock, that ironically the Army's Human Engineering Lab endorsed; and of course the 3-round burst control.

Sep 27, 2020 · Both have the 4-inside-a-circle marking inside the grip, and have the same exact mold lines. Fun fact, the backstrap ridges differ between the USGI variations of the A2 grip: the fat 90's Colt grips have the shown variation, and each of …

A2 vs MOE grip angle - AR15.COM
Jun 4, 2016 · Is the MOE grip angle the same as the angle on an A2 grip or is the angle reduced somewhat? I have a BCM Mod 3 on my rifle now and I like it but the reduced angle still puts my index finger a little too close to the trigger. Was thinking of maybe trying out a MOE as long as it doesn't have the A2 angle which I don't really care for.

Aug 15, 2014 · On my other AR 5.56 carbines I prefer the Magpul MIAD grip, I could adjust the grip size from small, medium, to large by changing the backstrap, when I'm using thicker gloves I use the small backstrap. I only have one A2 grip on my M16-A2 clone 20" rifle but sometimes I use my DuckBill grip when I get bothered by the finger groove.
Talk to me about the fatter chalky Colt A2 pistol grip - AR15.COM
Feb 3, 2022 · Tig, Thanks for that picture, much better than a thousand words. Just going from my bad memory, Colt began using that "gray" media-blasted or tumbled A2-grip sometime in the mid-2000's or so on just about all commercial LE/SP/CR-series rifles until a year or so ago, other than the latter Magpul-stocked models, obviously.

Mar 11, 2024 · The grip also has me confused. It looks like a combination of an A1 and an A2 grip. It is similar to a L119A but isn't curved and doesn't have a hinged compartment lid.
A2 pistol grip? - AR15.COM
Sep 4, 2011 · I love the A2 grip, but being truthful, it does begin to hurt the bottom of my middle finger if I've been using it for a while. The smooth A1 grip feels a little better, and I use them both. Aftermarket grips I don't care for, because that little gripe about the A2 grip hurting my middle finger isn't reason enough for me to stop using it.

Jun 19, 2021 · Here's a comparison of Mohegan21's blasted FDE grip and a Colt A2 grip: Attached File Attached File The blasted Mohegan21 grip is a much better match to the Colt than the unblasted ones I received before. There still are imperfections but they are much less pronounced. I would suggest Mohegan21 advertises this procedure in his ad if he isn't ...
