    Nov 25, 2007 · What were the 84 kx125's like? I found one locally with a steep asking price (I can probably talk him down to $600, the bike runs and looks ok). I owned one brand new in '84 and it was the funnest 125 besides my '88 KX.

    Is 84' KX125 a good bike?
    I was one of the fortunate to have actually owned and raced the 84' KX125. One of my favorite bikes for sure, and a huge reason I stayed on green since. Like some of you also commented, my frame needed to be welded from minor cracking. Twice in one season.

    How much did you pay for a 1985 KX125?
    I paid $800 for it and raced it in 1985. That year Chad Pederson was still on Honda 80's in Iowa and the amateur circuit and Denny Stephenson was running an 85' KX80 and later in the year some on a 85 KX125.

    Are 83 kx125s cramped?
    One of the first things a rider of an ’83 KX125 will notice about the ’84 is the way the bike fits. KX125s over the past few years have had a decidedly cramped feel, especially for anyone bigger than about 5-foot-7; but no one who rode our '84 test bike, including some 6-footers, complained about the seating position.
