Jun 10, 2021 · The BASENOR retractable cargo cover for the Tesla Model Y can be used with the 7 seat Model Y. I assume the other similar if not identical retractable cargo covers sold on Amazon, eBay and from RPMTesla also can be used with the 7 seat Model Y. Note: the retractable cargo cover cannot be installed in the side brackets of the 7 seat Model Y when the 3rd row seating is being used.

I’ve tried 7-seat monopost and 7-seat bench and needing room for 2 car seats, the best option was 6-seat monopost. 7-seat monopost was a 2nd place contender but only available on CPO. Monopost is only logical thing for not needing to move car seats to access 3rd row.

Dec 20, 2015 · We were really surprised at the difference between the 6 and 7-seater. We configured a 7 seater, but after seeing the 6-seater, I would say if you don't need the 7 seats, definitely get the 6 seater. It makes the 3rd row a lot roomier. For us, we just have to have the 7 seats, we have 3 kids and a big extended family and will need that 7th space.

We got the 7 seater, for a few reasons: we want the flexibility to travel with 7 periodically, we want both rear rows to fold flat, and we liked saving $3k. Our 7-year-old can slide the single 2nd-row seat to get to the third row on her own.

Jun 11, 2020 · As I understand it, the 7-seater's bench reclines just as much as the 5-seater, and the 7-seater bench can slide fore and aft to reproduce the same amount of legroom as the 5-seater. I found the bench seat more comfortable than the 6-seater captain's chairs because the monopods barely have any tilt/recline. Personally, I would go with the 7-seater.

Apr 9, 2021 · It doesn’t have the second, somewhat hard to reach under floor storage because the seats use that. Besides that there’s no difference. They fold completely flat. I’m happy with the 7 even though I’ll use infrequently. Will also help with resale value given the rarity. This is the only 7 seat EV that’s not an X
