Jul 10, 2012 · 6DOF requires more data (a lot more) than 4DOF. 4DOF requires significantly more data than 3DOF+ (AB style). 3DOF+ requires just a little more data than plain 3DOF. So *if* 3DOF+ is getting you the same results as 4DOF, then 4DOF is a bad choice. That's all I'm saying. And if 3DOF gets the job done, then you're certifiably crazy to go to 6DOF ...

Dec 13, 2018 · Lapua's Doppler-based 6DOF has an edge over 3DOF in two points: - More accurate prediction of spin drift - Prediction of stability zone for a given bullet, V0 and rifling twist. In other words -- an indication of a distance beyond which funky things (like dramatic loss of accuracy in crosswind) can happen.

With 4dof, using zero angle, I was able to zero at 1800ft, 80% humidity, 90 degrees, then go shoot matches at 5000-6000ft dry, 50's with the same zero input, then come home to 2700ft 30% humidity, and track the daily weather and haven't had to redo zero unless I swap barrels.

May 29, 2020 · 1 frame (of video) is 40ms long. So 1/10th of a frame is 4ms, and 1/100th of a frame is 0.4ms. If someone had some half decent video editing skills, they could dissect one frame from the video, work out what 1/100th of the movement is. The target and resulting impact have a known diameter, it's also a known distance.

Aug 30, 2018 · Trasol is reallly intuitive. I just downloaded Trasol last week, but I like the simplicity of it. But if I am comparing bullets, calibers, running numbers looking for trends etc. Strelok Pro is hard to beat. I like having multiple apps to run comparisons. If you bought both you would be out a total of less than $35.
