The U.S. Naval Forces Central Command’s mission is to conduct maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts, and strengthen partner nations' maritime capabilities in order to promote security and stability in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.

U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) consists of the U.S. 5th Fleet serving to maintain the stability and security of the region’s maritime environment. This combined force is comprised of US and multinational Sailors, Marines, Coastguardsmen and civilians committed to promoting prosperity through the freedom of the seas.

Feb 1, 2024 · The time-honored ceremony marked Wikoff’s assumption of command of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT), U.S. 5th Fleet, Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), and the International Maritime Security Construct (IMSC).
