Jan 3, 2023 · As far as I know, there are not yet any cargo-vans which are hybrid. There is the Ford E-Transit, but it is a pure EV and the range (≈108mi for the high roof) is not sufficient for most van dwellers. Chrysler Pacifica is available AWD and plug-in hybrid.

Nov 1, 2022 · If you don’t mind right hand drive the Toyota hiace and Mitsubishi delica are two fantastic 4wd vans. Both small, reliable, capable vehicles. They are 20+ years old now so they are being imported into the US and are not very pricey either.

I have picked mostly medium vans or cars that have livable space you can sort of camp in them. Not full luxury builds but a medium sized adult can potential sleep on them, and live for extended time outdoors.

The 4x4 Sprinter starts at $57,400. That's also before taxes, and also before the need to modify the cargo area with insulation and woodwork.

They make really cool vans that they make campers out of in Japan with popup roof tents and full kitchen/power/sink in such a small space! I think they are so cool! Hondas, Subarus, Susukis and more.
