So for a 144hz monitor your max real framerate is 72 FPS. For a 480Hz monitor you can now go up to 240 FPS which some of the beefier graphics cards can do in a variety of games. Then the interpolated frames get you to 480. Plus the higher your real framerate the better those interpolated frames look.

Jul 23, 2022 · Extreme diminishing returns. 60 to 144 is massive and basically mandatory now 144 to 165 will be noticable for some people, though 144 still provides an excellent experience so given the choice between 144 or 165 I'd take the 144 with a better panel than 165

Mar 19, 2024 · Idk my 65" lg oled was 2300€ going price when I bought it, now you get 77" for that money and 65" can be had like 1000€ from a sale every year when new models hit so they definitely getting cheaper overall. LG Oleds have gone down in price im fairly certain.

That means pixel response HAS to be 2ms or faster (1ms) in order to achieve perfect motion clarity at 480hz. Generally the fastest gaming monitors now are about 6.6ms AVERAGE pixel response times.
