Sep 4, 2017 · 10 years ago the Ford 4L V6 in the Exploder and Mustang was making 250lbft with 400CC more, the Cadillac 3.6L V6 was 252lbft, and even today that GM engine in the Canyon/Colorado with all its tweaks direct injection, and unpdated intake/exhaust is only matching the torque p & HP of the old Pentastar in the RAM.

All of the next automatic eTorque cranking events managed in the same Key-On ignition cycle are performed maintaining the BCM cranking relay closed and setting closed the PCM cranking relay.

Nov 15, 2020 · Well, this might be the dumbest question on this thread, but here goes: Is the "3.6L V6 24V VVT eTorque Engine" considered a Pentastar engine? I always thought it was, but only the non-Torque engine is identified as a "Pentastar" on Jeep's website. Probably just a poor write-up, but wanted to confirm.

Nov 15, 2020 · I see lots of videos and explanations comparing one of these engines the the 2.0 I-4T engine and/or against the 3.0 V-6TT Eco diesel engine but nothing on comparing the two different 3.6 V-6 engines. Any help from anyone that can educate me on the differences between these two engines would be much appreciated.

Feb 25, 2024 · It is also the quietest and smoothest idling of the engine choices and in a loud vehicle like the Wrangler, that's a very welcome thing. In the end, there's not much of a difference between the V6 and 2.0t...the 2.0t has the turbo feel but really that's all it is - a feeling. Both engines run the same 1/4 time and are very close in power.

With proper maintenance, the 3.6 Pentastar engine longevity is around 250-300k miles (there are even a few cases of the Pentastar last up to impressive 500,000 miles).

Two batteries...one dedicated to engine start/stop? Is a normal single battery version available? I live in Arizona and batteries dont last more than 3 years.

Nov 15, 2020 · Once the brake pedal is released, the BSG restarts the engine (which is why the eTorque ESS is super smooth and quiet, it doesn't use the starter to re-start the engine while in ESS), and the BSG then supplements the engine torque via the BSG and 48volt battery cell as the Jeep is accelerated from the stop.
