Issues replacing 1157 bulb with LEDs - Candle Power Flashlight …
Messages. 3. Nov 30, 2017. #1. Hi, I've replaced the 1157 taillight/brake/turn signal bulbs with red LEDs. There are 2 dual filament bulbs in each side's assembly. The issue I'm having is that when the brakes are applied, only one bulb illuminates in the assembly, the other doesn't. Both bulbs work as tail and turn just not brakes.

Aug 28, 2001. #1. I was wondering if it was possible to modify this 1157 LED bulb from 12 volts down to 6 volts by changing a resistor or something. I dont know whats up with the diodes and stuff and what they do...can someone fill me in to understand what the diodes and other components are doing and if its easy to step this down to 6 volts.

Feb 23, 2009. #2. well a 1157 outs out about 412 lumens, a 3 watt led (luxeon) puts out about 120 if its lucky, so the incandescent bulb is still 3x bright. so go buy new incandescent. i know its cool to say you have led lights but most of them dont come close. these ones are the only ones that come close to regular bulbs the high number smd leds.

229. Location. Waggoner, Illinois. Apr 4, 2007. #1. I use a Koehler Wheat 5100 headlamp on a 6 volt, 8 amp battery with a rheostat around the farm. I use the standard BM30 4 volt bulb, and drive it at 6 volts so its plenty bright. The problem is this bulb blows if you so much as sniff wrong.

Jan 2, 2010 · I have seen bad LED lights, where it was hard to distinguish between brake/signal and tail light. Don't want that. I don't even know if there's an LED replacement for the 1895, but there are confusingly many for 1157. I have Sylvania Zevo in my notes, and just now noticed some other Sylvania LED replacement bulbs.
211-2 vs 578 - same sausage, different wattages?
Mar 30, 2013. Messages. 268. May 17, 2021. #1. Various bulb lookups suggest the dome light bulb in my '02 Silverado may be a 578 or a 211-2. Near as I can tell, they're physically the same bulb, with the 578 being 10 watts and the 211-2 being 12.5 watts. The Zevo versions appear to be the exact same "bulb" in two differently-labeled packages.
