Jun 17, 2016 · It is still a great lens until this very day: It has excellent optics and is compact. If you can find it used, it can be had for a bargain. It even has a Macro setting for cheapo-on-the-fly-Macro-duties and has a max reproduction rate of 1/7.7 (1/4 at 35mm using the macro setting).

Sep 5, 2014 · I bought a Nikon 35-70/2.8D just yesterday for only $200. I'm a big fan of the 50mm/1.8G, but sometimes I need something wider, and for portraits sometimes a little closer wouldn't hurt either. And it needed to be f/2.8 or faster since I often shoot indoors in low light.

One of the fastest Zoom-Nikkors, capable of handling low-light shooting situations. Constant 2.8 aperture throughout entire zoom range. Autofocus for ease-of-use. Focus down to 11 inches. This is a great buy. Thanks for sharing this here. Polished concrete floor installers. None so far.

The Nikkor AF 35-70mm F / 2.8 , is a good buy in 2021
Apr 23, 2021 · I used to own the 35-70 2.8D and used it on a Nikon D810. A good copy can give you excellent results, even on a high resolution sensor. The problem is finding a good copy.
