Jan 16, 2024 · Mountain View City Council has reorganized for the new year. Council members elected the city’s new mayor and vice mayor during the Jan. 9 city council meeting; Pat Showalter, who served as vice mayor in 2023, was elected to replace Alison Hicks as mayor in 2024. Lisa Matichak will serve as vice mayor.

Mar 26, 2024 · It’s not often that a person gets to be the mayor of Mountain View once, let alone twice. But Pat Showalter has held this distinction for the second time now, and is ready to make a lasting impression with goals to build more housing, plant more trees and protect the city from rising sea levels.

Jun 5, 2024 · Joining a growing list of candidates, Mountain View Mayor Pat Showalter has announced that she will seek another term on the City Council ahead of the November 5 election.

In January of each year, Council elects one of its members as Mayor and another as Vice Mayor. The City Manager is appointed by the Council and is responsible for the administration of City business. The City Attorney, City Clerk and City Auditor are also Council appointees.

Jan 27, 2024 · Mountain View city council members unanimously elected Pat Showalter as mayor this month for a one-year term — though this isn’t Showalter’s first time as mayor. In 2016, she held the same position and implemented sustainability plans, established a safe parking program and increased affordable housing by 350 units.
