You might mention something about what exactly hunting logs are at the top of the main page, possibly even go so far as to include the exp bonuses per hunt and rank completion. (I didn't know anything about hunting logs until I was nearly 20, so a little bit of briefing might serve nicely to unwitting players.)

Sep 1, 2013 · I wanted to get promoted last night until it told me I had to do the Rank 1 GC hunting logs, so when looking for them I saw that three of the mobs locations were in a dungeon. I've never done that dungeon. But I have one kill of one of the mobs, meaning I must have somehow gotten that kill from outside the dungeon, I think.

Dec 29, 2020 · For Maelstrom, those dungeons are Halatali and The Sunken Temple of Qarn. I queued up for those solo unsynced, and the hunting log requirements for Maelstrom were met once I slayed them. I did not even have to finish the dungeon. Once I met the hunting log requirements, I just left. You will not be penalized if you are in a dungeon by yourself.

Aug 29, 2013 · I've just hit level 50 (yay!) and I've gone back and completed the second Hunting Log for the Maelstrom. When I go back to get the promotion I need (from 8 to 9, so I can buy the Maelstrom level 50 Axe), he keeps telling me I have to complete the hunting log and some 'trial'.

Feb 16, 2016 · Edit 2: I got bored and switched to Maelstrom earlier tonight. Finished the hunting log and I'm at current max rank. That really wasn't so bad after all. Literally took me about 3-4 hours. Thanks again everyone!!
