However the one I was issues the previous gyrene who had it file it sharp. Bayonet System 2005 Adopted by the USMC, then US companies complained and in 30 days, the OKC-3S was picked. Used by many other countries, but not US.

Sep 5, 2011 · Original Colt manufactured M7 bayonet (for the M16 rifle) and US M8A1 scabbard $79. These are not the more common West German contract produced M7 bayonet. All the bayonets we have for sale were made by Colt Manufacturing Company, Hartford, Connecticut. These have the Colt "Rampant Mustang" logo and part number on the blade.

Jul 6, 2009 · With a M4 I have never been issued a bayonet but I know that we have them. Any M16 bayonet will fit the M4. Your problem is that your barrel is most likely 16" long and as such is not designed to fit a bayonet.

Jan 2, 2014 · Generally speaking, will the M7 bayonet fit an M16 with a 20-inch barrel, bayo lug front sight and birdcage flash-hider? That is what it's designed to fit. It will also fit a 14.5 carbine barrel with or without the extra bit to get it legal but not a 16".

Mar 1, 2017 · The M4 carbine bayonet was an adaptation of the M3 trench knife. The same blade design was used for the M5 bayonet (for the Garand), the M6 (for the M14), and the M7 (for the M16). This blade design is a classic. It was even used by the Germans in their bayonet for the G3.

Jun 3, 2016 · The pebbled less mfg stamp scabbard is exclusive to the 62316 bayonet. Harder to find scabbard than bayonet generally unless purchased together. Pretty sure mfg was from 77 into 79. May be off a tad but definitely post VN conflict. Still pretty cool and I still have a couple as accessories for my authentic Colt rifles.

Feb 10, 2008 · The AK bayonet is alot like the M9 with a shorter blade. Though I have to say that the AK bayonet is less likely to snap if uses as a pry bar or other lateral forces. In regards to the new Marine bayonet...IMHO I believe this to be more of a knife fighter's knife than a utility knife.
