All you're doing when you cross your eyes is ordinarily exercising your eye muscles. It's just like looking left or right, except you're doing both at the same time.

Oct 19, 2017 · The two sides of the image can't be further apart than the distance between your eyes, or else your eyes would be looking on opposite directions, which AFAIK isn't possible. So the first step is to make sure the image is small enough that your eyes don't need to face away from each other to see the two images.
