Oct 3, 2016 · It has been my experience that the pill form of Cerenia lasts about 24-36 hours. The injectible form given by the Vet lasts longer, usually about 48 hours, sometimes longer. My cats have never had an adverse reaction to it although my Vet said some cats have strange reactions to it.

Aug 9, 2021 · Cerenia isn't likely to stop regurgitation and it most likely won't stop an IBD barf either. Because he's already taking ondansetron, he's already getting an anti-nausea medication. Cerenia has been known to cause appetite issues in some cats. Perhaps you can discuss with the vet or specialists about giving him a break off the Cerenia.

Jan 16, 2022 · It's similar to Entyse for dogs but tweaked for cats. She also had a heart murmur. Couldn't tolerate the Cerenia tablets but they gave her the injection and fluid the first time we brought her to the vet. The vet said not to change the diet. Said it's more important that she eats and keeps her fluids. Didn't need fluid or Cerenia anymore.

Jun 3, 2019 · Most cats don't need a whole pill so you'll need a pill cutter to split the pill into half or quarters, whatever your vet says is the proper dose for your cat. Cerenia should be given about half an hour before a meal. There might be other similar anti-nausea medicines out there that can be used for cats. I'm not familiar with those.
