Last year (2020) I planted mine the day before a rain and they came up and grew to 1.5". It never rained for 56 days afterwards and of course they wilted.

The rest of the year, I would setup bedding on the North 200 acres and try to get the deer to move to the South towards your destination fields and then off to the SE to the farm ground. You can add small food plots in between the bedding and feeding fields.

Weasel - Good luck... BTW, a big'n was killed or found dead in that area a couple years ago... Sorry can't remember the details, but remember it making the newspapers and of being world class of around 200" if I remember correctly...
