WEBThe Mercury 300XS got me a top speed of 50 knots while turning a labbed Bravo1 22". With the Tempest Plus 23", I saw 53.2 knots at 5400 rpms. I think if I had fine tuned that prop, I may have seen 54 knots turning up to 5800 rpms. The 300XS required the use of 91 octane fuel so I always filled up with 93 octane.

To hit 75, he's got to be turning 26" props, I'm assuming labbed as well. For top end, labbed 26 bravos would be the way to go. 24 Bravos may be better all around for canyon like loads.

WEBThe 350 boat has Rev 4 props and V8 boat has enertia. If both were rev 4 propped I bet top speed would be the same and 350 boat would be more fuel efficient. I saw a printout for my boat that showed the 300 V8 had a very slight advantage, but at 4000rpm the 350 had better performance. All in all it was pretty close.
