A fibre drum (or fiber drum) is made up of a combination of adhesives and rolls of paper. The otherwise unremarkable brown paper material comes into Greif facilities in massive rolls. A series of machines convert the paper into cylinders or lids through a complex process.

Fiber drums, also known as corrugate drums or cardboard drums, are some of the most lightweight, versatile, and useful barrels that are available on the market today. While they lack the durability of steel or plastic drums, there is a lot of usefulness to be gained from a container that is more easily stored and transported.

Composed primarily of multi-layered materials, fiber drums are similar to cardboard but with significantly more sturdiness. The fiberboard bodies of these barrels are made by tightly winding and gluing multiple layers of kraft paper.
