Purchased this tv at a terrific price! I like the lightweight, slim design and clear, bright picture. The sound is good as well and does not need a sound bar even in a large master bedroom ( but would be beneficial in a basement or larger family room.) For a 55” 4K UHD tv TCL makes a great tv at a fraction of the price of Sony, Vizio, and LG.

A: The composite connection for this TCL TV is a single input located on the back of the TV near the other inputs. Jan 2, 2022 · Be aware that CEC/ARC on cheaper devices (Vizio, TCL, etc.) can sometimes just randomly not work for no apparent reason. I have a Vizio 7.1 soundbar setup that is essentially useless due to exactly these kinds of shenanigans.

This is my second TCL TV from Best Buy and have not been disappointed. The 55” screen size is a good size for a bedroom. Picture is very good for this price range. The Android operating system works well with no hang ups. The sound is average which would be improved with a sound bar. Overall, good value and would recommend purchase.

TCL 55S434 Android TV proprietary TV app vs. Android TV's
Dec 8, 2020 · TCL's Android TV (55S434) comes with a default TCL TV app installed. It sucks in my opinion for a variety of reasons, one of which is that the TV EPG is buried in the default Android TV menu (you have to bring up the Android TV OS menu, go two options deep just to get an option called "EPG" and click it to display it).
