It is the older style with a round twist knob to lock the miter settings, whereas the newer models have a flip lever. The 705 is a 12" fixed type, single bevel compound miter saw. Or choose the 703 for a 10" fixed saw.

Dec 4, 2018 · This saw gets good accuracy reviews, has a vernier cursor and can cut 50 degrees to the left and 60 to the right, but there have been a large number of motor burnout reports, it needs blades with a non-US-standard bore, and it's crazy expensive. It's also a 10" saw, and so has some size limitations compared to 12" bladed saws.

Now not only will there by 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch gap between the square and the blade, but the blade will also no longer be square. to the L-Shaped square.

May 29, 2016 · The only glider I'd trust for accuracy is the Festool. The others are large-capacity tools for cutting boards on the construction site and not precision tools. If you need precision, I'd advise avoiding the sliders and getting a fixed saw instead. Awhile back I used a DeWalt slider and it never cut square if I let the saw move on the tracks.
