Jul 20, 2021 — Next Monday means the Monday that is coming. A Monday that is not next but the one after is the Monday after next monday. Next Monday can't skip over a Monday because it wouldn't be the next. E.g. the next number after 1 is 2...it can not be 3. There doesn't seem to be a universally agreed rule here.
When in English someone says "next tuesday" are they referring

So if it was Monday and someone said "let's meet next Tuesday", I would assume they meant 8 days from now, as opposed to tomorrow. But likewise if it was Wednesday and someone said it, I would assume they meant 6 days from now.

Apr 21, 2024 — We get a guaranteed WFH day each week, though most of us in the dept use any excuse to WFH at least 2x a week. So I just say "Meh, if I don't feel like going in, I'll use Monday as my WFH day this week." Takes a lot of the sting out of thinking about it. Monday is my home office day just for that reason.
